Terms of Service

By creating an account or using SelfPub Go, you agree to these Terms. They form a binding agreement between you and SelfPub Go. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. Read alongside our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

1. The service

SelfPub Go provides software for managing a self-publishing book business: Amazon Ads campaign management, KDP royalty analytics, AI-assisted metadata tools, a publishing distribution hub, and a freelance services marketplace. We may add, remove, or modify features. Material changes that reduce functionality of a paid plan come with at least 30 days’ notice and a pro-rata refund right.

2. Account eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into contracts. You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up-to-date. You are responsible for activity under your account; report unauthorized access promptly to security@selfpubgo.com.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the platform to:

• Violate Amazon’s Business Solutions Agreement, KDP Content Guidelines, or other third-party terms governing accounts you connect.
• Generate or distribute books that infringe copyright, defame others, contain illegal sexual content involving minors, or promote violence.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract our software beyond what the documented APIs permit.
• Resell access to the platform without our written permission.
• Probe security boundaries other than via our responsible disclosure program (see /security).

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this clause. We give written notice and a right to cure for minor violations; severe or repeated violations result in immediate termination.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of everything you upload — manuscripts, ad copy, cover designs, audio. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license solely to host, process, and transmit that content as required to provide the service to you. We do not use your content to train AI models, advertise to third parties, or for any purpose other than serving you.

On account closure, we delete your content per the retention schedule in our Privacy Policy. Backups roll off within 90 days unless legal hold applies.

5. AI-assisted features

AI-generated outputs (titles, descriptions, keywords) are suggestions. You are responsible for reviewing them, ensuring accuracy and originality, and making the final publication decision. Per Amazon’s Generative AI policy effective March 4, 2026, you must disclose AI-generated content in the KDP Content Type field at upload. Our AI Tools module emits the required metadata; you confirm the disclosure when you publish.

We use Claude (Anthropic) for AI features. Anthropic does not train on our API data per their enterprise terms. EU-region tenants route to Anthropic’s EU endpoint.

6. Marketplace (Studio tier)

The Marketplace connects you with independent service providers. SelfPub Go facilitates transactions and holds funds in escrow via Stripe Connect Express until milestones are released. We are not a party to the service contract between you and the provider. Disputes are first attempted to be resolved bilaterally; unresolved disputes go to a 48-hour mediation queue staffed by us. Our decision is binding for funds held in escrow but not for any additional damages, which you may pursue separately.

Service providers pay a 10% platform fee. Buyers do not pay a platform fee in v1.

7. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans (Pro, Studio) renew automatically on the billing cycle you select (monthly or annual). You authorize Stripe to charge your payment method. Cancel any time from Settings; cancellation takes effect at end of period. Pre-paid amounts are non-refundable except where required by consumer protection law (e.g. EU 14-day cooling-off for first-time consumer subscriptions).

Trials convert to paid at the end of the trial unless cancelled. We email three days before conversion. Unused trial time is forfeited on conversion.

Price changes take effect on your next renewal with at least 30 days’ written notice. Founding-member rates lock for the life of the subscription, unless you cancel.

8. Taxes

Prices are exclusive of taxes. Stripe Tax calculates and collects VAT, GST, and applicable sales tax based on your billing address. You are responsible for any taxes not collected by Stripe.

9. Intellectual property

The platform — software, design, brand, documentation — is owned by SelfPub Go and protected by copyright and trademark law. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the platform for its intended purpose during your subscription. No other rights are granted.

10. Warranties and disclaimers

We provide the platform “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI suggestions, ad-spend recommendations, royalty estimates, or keyword rankings will produce specific results. Outputs are estimates based on available data.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing in this section limits warranties you have under mandatory consumer protection law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to the platform is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including lost profits, lost royalties, or lost ad revenue, even if we knew such damages were possible.

This limitation does not apply to (a) liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence; (b) fraud; (c) any liability that cannot be excluded by applicable law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SelfPub Go from claims arising out of (a) your content, (b) your use of the platform in violation of these Terms or applicable law, or (c) your relationship with marketplace providers. We will notify you promptly of any claim and cooperate at your reasonable expense.

13. Termination

You may delete your account anytime from Settings. We may suspend or terminate for material breach with reasonable notice and a cure period; for serious breach (security, fraud, illegal content) we may suspend immediately. Sections that by nature should survive termination — IP, indemnity, limitation of liability, dispute resolution — survive.

14. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. EU consumers retain the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of their country of residence.

Disputes will first be attempted to be resolved in good faith via direct communication. Unresolved disputes go to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, seated in Wilmington, Delaware. EU consumers may alternatively use the EU ODR platform at ec.europa.eu/odr. Class actions are waived to the maximum extent permitted by law.

15. Changes to these Terms

Material changes are notified by email at least 30 days before they take effect; continued use after that constitutes acceptance. Minor clarifications are versioned in the changelog of this page.
