When and how do I get paid?▾
On a net-30 schedule: earnings confirmed in a given month pay out the following month, once your balance clears the $50 minimum. Payouts go to PayPal or bank transfer depending on your country.
How does attribution work — code or link?▾
Both. Anyone who uses your personal promo code at checkout is credited to you, and so is anyone who clicks your referral link and signs up within the 60-day cookie window. If a customer uses your code, that always takes priority.
When do commissions actually confirm?▾
A commission is held as pending until the refund window on that payment closes, then it flips to confirmed and becomes eligible for the next payout. This protects everyone from paying out on charges that get refunded.
What happens on a refund or chargeback?▾
That commission is clawed back (reversed). It's exactly why we hold commissions pending until the refund window closes — it keeps the program healthy for everyone.
Is the commission really recurring?▾
Yes — 30% of every payment for 12 months per referred author, monthly or annual. After 12 months that customer's commission ends, and every new author you refer starts a fresh 12-month window.
Is there any cost to join?▾
No. The program is free to join, and approved partners get a free Pro account on top, which upgrades to Studio at the Partner tier. You only ever earn — there are no fees and nothing to buy.
Do I have to be a SelfPub Go customer to join?▾
No, but it helps. Approved partners receive a free account so you can use the product and make genuine, credible content. The best affiliates are people who publish and run ads themselves.
When does a commission first trigger?▾
On the referred author's first paid charge — their upgrade to Pro or Studio. Free signups don't earn until they convert to a paid plan, but that conversion still falls inside your window.
How do the tiers (35% / 40%) work?▾
You start at 30%. Around 10 active referrals you move to 35%, and around 25 to 40% plus perks. "Active" means a live paid subscription; thresholds are program targets and your current rate is always shown in your dashboard.
