Affiliate Program Terms

These Affiliate Program Terms (the “Terms”) govern your participation in the SelfPub Go Affiliate Program (the “Program”). By applying to or participating in the Program, you agree to these Terms, which form a binding agreement between you (the “Affiliate”) and SelfPub Go. If you do not agree, do not enroll. Read alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy; capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in those documents.

1. Eligibility and enrollment

Applications are reviewed and approved at SelfPub Go’s sole discretion. We may approve, decline, suspend, or revoke any application or account at any time, with or without cause, and without liability. Approval is not guaranteed by meeting any published criteria.

To participate you must be at least 18 years old, have the legal capacity to enter into contracts, provide accurate account and tax information, and maintain a valid PayPal or bank payout account. You are responsible for keeping your details current and for all activity under your affiliate account.

2. Commission

Affiliates earn a 30% recurring commission on the net subscription revenue of each referred paying customer, for up to 12 monthsper customer from that customer’s first paid invoice. After 12 months of paid subscription, commissions on that customer stop, even if the customer remains subscribed. For reference, at the base rate a referral on the Pro plan ($39/mo) earns approximately $11.70/mo and a referral on the Studio plan ($99/mo) earns approximately $29.70/mo, for the qualifying period.

Commissions apply only to new customers who were not already SelfPub Go users, and were not in an active trial, at the time of referral. Commission is calculated on amounts actually received by SelfPub Go, net of taxes, discounts, credits, and refunds.

Commission tiers

Your commission rate increases with the number of active paying referrals attributed to your account. Tier upgrades take effect on the billing cycle after the threshold is reached and apply to commissions earned from that point forward.

3. Free-account policy

Affiliate access to SelfPub Go is provided as an earned Program perk, not a blanket entitlement, and only while your affiliate account is in good standing:

• On approval, you receive a complimentary Pro plan to evaluate and demonstrate the product.
• On reaching the Partner tier (10+ active paying referrals), the complimentary plan upgrades to Studio.

Complimentary access is personal, non-transferable, may not be resold or shared, and is intended for genuine product use and promotion. If your affiliate account is suspended or terminated, or your qualifying referral count falls below a tier threshold, the corresponding complimentary access ends and the plan reverts accordingly.

4. Attribution

A referral is credited when a prospective customer arrives through your unique affiliate link and is tracked via a 60-day cookie from that first click. If the customer subscribes within the 60-day window, the sale is attributed to you.

Where a customer applies an affiliate promo code at checkout, the promo code takes priority and determines attribution, overriding any tracking cookie. Absent a promo code, last-click attribution applies: if a customer clicks multiple affiliate links, the most recent link before purchase receives credit.

5. Pending and confirmed commissions

Earned commissions are first recorded as Pending for a 30-day holding period corresponding to the customer refund window. A commission becomes Confirmed, and eligible for payout, only after that window has cleared without a refund, chargeback, or reversal on the underlying transaction.

6. Clawback and reversal

Commissions on transactions that are later refunded, charged back, disputed, or otherwise reversed are voided. If a commission was already paid on a transaction that is subsequently reversed, the corresponding amount may be deducted from your future payouts or invoiced back to you. We may also void or reverse commissions tied to leaked, expired, or misused promo codes, or to traffic we determine to be fraudulent, incentivized in violation of these Terms, or otherwise non-compliant.

7. Payout terms

• Schedule. Confirmed commissions are paid monthly on net-30 terms — that is, in the month following the month in which they are confirmed.
• Minimum threshold. Payouts are issued once your confirmed balance reaches the $50 minimum. Balances below the threshold roll over to the next cycle until the minimum is met.
• Method. Payouts are made via PayPal or bank transfer. You bear any transfer, processing, or currency-conversion fees, and you are solely responsible for all taxes on amounts you earn.

8. Prohibited practices

The following are strictly prohibited. Engaging in any of them may result in forfeiture of pending and confirmed commissions, immediate suspension or termination, and reversal of amounts already paid:

• Self-referral. No commissions are earned on purchases by you, your immediate family, or your own company, employer, or accounts you control. Buying through your own link to earn commission is prohibited.
• Trademark bidding and brand PPC.No bidding on “SelfPub Go,” “selfpubgo.com,” misspellings, or variations of our brand terms on any search, shopping, or ad platform, and no paid ads that point directly to our landing pages using our brand.
• Cookie stuffing. No pop-ups, pop-unders, iframes, hidden frames, forced or auto-clicks, auto-loading links, toolbars, adware, or any technique that sets the affiliate cookie without a genuine, intentional user click.
• Coupon and deal sites. Commissions are not earned on links posted to coupon, deal, or cashback sites.
• Spam. No unsolicited email, direct messages, or other messaging. You must comply with the CAN-SPAM Act and all applicable anti-spam laws.
• Misleading claims. No false or unsubstantiated earnings, results, or product claims; no fake reviews; and no impersonation of SelfPub Go, its staff, or its official channels.

9. Disclosure (FTC)

You must include a clear and conspicuous disclosure of your affiliate relationship with SelfPub Go, placed near the referral link, on every page, post, video, or message that promotes SelfPub Go, in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s endorsement guidelines and any equivalent local requirements.

10. Brand and content usage

You may use the SelfPub Go name and approved logos and assets only in accordance with our brand guidelines. You may not modify our marks or use them in a way that implies employment, sponsorship, or a partnership beyond the affiliate relationship described here.

11. Changes to the Program

SelfPub Go may modify the commission rates, tiers, cookie duration, payout terms, perks, or these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email or via the affiliate dashboard. Your continued participation after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Termination and suspension

Either party may terminate participation in the Program at any time. SelfPub Go may suspend or terminate an affiliate immediately and without notice for fraud, abuse, or breach of these Terms, and may withhold or reverse unpaid commissions in such cases.

On termination, your affiliate links and promo codes stop crediting new referrals, and any complimentary account access ends. Commissions already earned and confirmed — and not subject to clawback — are paid on the next normal cycle. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including clawback, prohibited practices, liability, and general terms) survive.

13. Liability and general

The Program is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, SelfPub Go disclaims all warranties relating to the Program and shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost commissions or lost profits. The relationship between you and SelfPub Go under these Terms is that of independent contractors; nothing here creates an employment, agency, partnership, or joint venture relationship. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, consistent with our Terms of Service.
